Christina's Column - January 2010

Hello Everyone,
Happy New Year! 2009 is history, and 2010 is here! A new year and
so many new things to address.

This Miss Gay Arkansas America 2010 Pageant season will officially
start on Sunday, February 14th at Pulse, with the Miss Gay Little Rock
Pageant. I hope to see many friends, contestants and promoters at
this event. This will be my first preliminary pageant of my reign and
I am very excited, proud and honored to officially begin my pageant
season as your Miss Gay Arkansas America 2009. Miss Gay Little Rock
always starts the new Miss Gay Arkansas' reign and this year it starts
on Valentine's Day and the theme is "Lady In Red".

Contestants...as you prepare for the Miss Gay Arkansas America
prelim of your choice, please review all of the categories and sub-
categories to make sure you have put together the strongest package
to insure that you will compete at the high quality level that Miss Gay
Arkansas and Miss Gay America are known for. This year, all categories
are required at both city and state levels. If you have any questions or concerns about your
package, please contact myself or any of the Miss Gay Arkansas formers. We will be glad to help
in any way possible.

I hope some of you are able to catch me at some of my upcoming bookings. I will be performing
at Zack's Place in Little Rock on Friday, February 5th. Also, at Kinkead's in Fort Smith on Friday,
February 19th. I will also be entertaining on Saturday, February 13th for the Arkansas AIDS
Foundation as they host their annual Simply Red - Glitz and Glamour Gala. The event will be held
at Embassy Suites on Chenal Parkway in Little Rock. The silent auction and cocktail hour will begin
at 6:00 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m., with a show at 8:00 p.m. You can purchase tickets
at the Foundation at 518 East 9th Street. Contact David at 501-813-2025 for more information.
Also, you can purchase tickets at Star Bar Lounge. Contact Larry West or Stephen Inman at
501-301-STAR(7827).

I would like all potential contestants to take time to check out the Preliminaries page listed here
on the Miss Gay Arkansas website for updates on both new and old prelims for this pageant season.
I welcome Trent Thomas, promoter of the Miss Gay Arkansas Newcomer Pageant, and Drew Pritt,
promoter of the Miss Gay Diamond Pageant, to the Miss Gay Arkansas America Family. I'm working
with both old and new promoters this year, so many dates will be added for Preliminaries as more
details unfold. If you would like to obtain a Preliminary Pageant to Miss Gay Arkansas America,
please contact me ASAP so that I can get all of your details and a date set up.

If you would like to purchase an ad in the Miss Gay Arkansas America 2010 program, it is never
too early to do so. It is a wonderful and extremely inexpensive way to advertise and promote
your business, club, non-profit organization, or even yourself.

Remember, my door is always open....and my phone is always on.
Much Love, Lip Gloss & Lashes,
Christina Saxton
