Hello Everyone,
Happy Father's Day!
June was a busy month for Miss Gay Arkansas
America,
we had 3 prelims. First, was June 5th
Miss Fort Smith
Arkansas America, held at Kinkead’s, and the Promoters
Donny Moore and Mike Nofsinger really went all out, not
only for their contestants, their backdrop was stunning.
It was a pleasure performing with Jade Sinclair, Miss Gay
Midwest America 2009, Shantel Mandalay, Miss Gay
Oklahoma 2009, Shanel Herrington, Miss Gay Arkansas
America2004, Krystal Brooks, Miss Gay Fort Smith 2003,
Stephanie Richards, Miss Gay Arkansas America 2008,
Missy Klein, Miss Gay Arkansas America 1992, and Taylor
Madison Monroe. After all of the makeup and powder cleared,
your winner was Ophelia Payne, and 1st alternate was
Simone Westwood. Both Donny and Mike, treated me to
another buffet at Furr’s. ( I am sure by the end of my reign, thanks
to the promoters, I will
have gained plenty of weight, but I do love my buffets!) After the pageant,
I immediately
packed up and headed back home to Little Rock, for Miss Gay Capitol City Arkansas
America,
June 6, at Pulse,with promoter/co-chair for the Miss Gay Arkansas America,
Dennis Harris.
It was a great night and good to see in the audience so many of the Northwest
Arkansas girls
supporting the system. After all scores were tallied, your new Miss Gay Capitol
City Arkansas
America was Shawn Tyler Andrews, of Fayetteville, and 1st alternate was Blair
Bonifonte, of
Little Rock.
On Sunday, June 13th, Little Rock kicked
off its gay pride week with Miss Gay Pride at Pulse
in Little Rock. Congratulations to Charnay Cassadine, your new Miss Gay Pride.
On Monday,
June 14th, was the Bar Crawl. It started at Goodtimes then on to 610 where
Joan Blondell
had a wonderful buffet then it was on to Pulse where I preformed and then
from there we
all went to UBU and we also preformed there and the final stop was Sidetracks.
Next trip was back to Northwest Arkansas,
where at Kinkead’s, Miss Gay Fayetteville, was
held on June 18. Once again, I would like to send out a HUGE thank you to
owner Rick Eubanks
for supporting the system and allowing us to hold numerous prelims at his
bar. I want to thank
all of the entertainers that I had the chance to work with, Including your
reigning Miss Gay
Fayetteville, and newly crowned Miss Gay Capitol City, Miss Gay Fayetteville
2005, Barbie
Grant, Tyler Rayne, Miss Gay Fayetteville 2006, Kandi Anderson, newly crowned
Miss Gay
Newcomer, and Ophelia Payne, your newly crowned Miss Fort Smith . A big thank
you goes
out to Robbie Smith, what a wonderful buffet he had at registration and rehearsal.
I want to thank Donny and Mike, promoters
for Miss Fort Smith, for the incredible stage
decorations. We had a total of 5 contestants, ending with a tie for 1st alt.
After the answering
of the tie breaking questions, your 2nd alt was Hot Springs own Tish Lanae.
Your 1st alt was
Little Rock’s, Diamond Rose, and to a thunderous applause, your newly
crowned Miss Gay
Fayetteville was Makiya Devorie. I want to send a big Shout out to all the
Miss Gay Arkansas
America board members that came out to support the system and the Miss Gay
Fayetteville
Pageant.

In closing, I want to congratulate all contestants
