Dear
Readers,
I am so happy that Spring has arrived! Pageant season is revving up
and
several dates have been set! I hope all of you entertainers are
putting the finishing touches on your packages! I have been excited
and encouraged in the many contestants that are vying for the Miss
Gay Arkansas USofA this year. Bobby and Bradley aka Miss Brittany
Paige, have worked diligently to energize the system and the art form
as a whole. I am a huge fan! Larger than life…that’s my motto!
I must congratulate my sister, Alexis LaRue, Miss Gay Arkansas America
2007, for winning the battle that was, Miss Gay Arkansas USofA Classic
2009. Several of my Arkansas America sisters competed and it was a
wonderful show, and the point spread was so close! I am proud to be a
part of such a talented sisterhood. Another Arkansas America sister,
and former Miss Gay America, Dominque Sanchez, showed her impressive
talents and experience and swept the categories at Miss Gay Backstreet
Arkansas USofA 2009.
Our Next Preliminary to Miss Gay Arkansas America is Miss Gay Hot Springs
Arkansas America 2009. It will
be held at Jester’s Lounge in Hot Springs. I expect to see a great turnout
of contestants and spectators as
it is one of the oldest titles in the Arkansas system and the promoter and
Hot Springs really embrace their
winners!
I want to remind you that the Arkansas Alumni Board is available to you for
advisement regarding your
packages. I can attest to the fact that, as a contestant, then current Miss
Arkansas and the board was
there for me with answers to questions and sometimes thorough discussions
as to how best to proceed.
The Arkansas Alumni board bring a vast breadth and depth of experience not
normally associated with
promoters. One has captured the title of Miss America, several have made top
ten, many have won specific
categories so many times as to be considered experts. Should you need advisement,
opinions, or assistance,
please do not hesitate to contact the board. E-mail addresses are available
on this website and my contact
information is below.
I had the pleasure of assisting with the hostessing of the 1st preliminary
of the Mister Gay America New at
the Rev Room. This is the new system started for females doing male impersonation.
I was very impressed
at the level of talent and masculinity these kings brought. Congratulations
Drew Pritt.
Personally, I am about to complete another milestone in my life. I am finally
graduating in May with a Masters
in Business Administration. Most of my friends will tell you that I have been
in school my entire life, and that
would not be too far from the truth. Yes, Jewelry is an appropriate graduation
gift. LOL!!
Honored to be Your Miss Gay Arkansas America 2008,
Todd
