Greetings!
I want to first thank
everyone who donated so generously of their talents, their time, and their
cash
to help make this year’s Thanksgiving
Benefit a success. We did not have a final count and the end of
the show, due to some late donations, but I am happy to announce that we made
$826.00 for the
Arkansas AIDS Foundation. The Foundation will use this money to help their
clients have a more
traditional Thanksgiving celebration with Turkey and all the trimmings!
If you were unable to participate, I
am sure you will want to mark your calendars to attend the
Christmas Benefit for H.P.W.A. that is scheduled at Backstreet on December
14th. Please come out
and make this a season and a year to remember.
During this time of Thanksgiving, I hope
you are all thinking about the things you are truly thankful
for: your friends, family, and personal relationships. I know it is often
easy to get down in the dumps
during this season because we feel that we are not as happy as we should be.
I don’t know of anyone
who has ever had a Hallmark Holiday. Try not to build this season up in your
mind as being a perfect
time of the year and accept that everything will not go as planned, the bird
might be dry, others may
forget to include you, and you may have to put up with relatives with the
brain power of a stump. If you
do get down this year, try to focus on the good things in life, the things
you enjoy doing, and the things
that make you a better person.
As we move into this Holiday Season,
I think it is important to reflect on the year and make decisions about things
we would like to change
for the better. I am always amazed at how giving of myself makes me feel richer.
Please take some of your precious free time and donate it
to one of many great causes in the area. This will not only make you feel
better about yourself, but it can make a huge difference in other
peoples lives.
I hope all of you entertainers are carefully
contemplating what pageants you are going to enter and what package you would
like to bring
in the coming year. Remember, do not focus on what someone else is doing,
you are really competing against yourself. It is your responsibility
to be as prepared, polished, and professional as possible. As always, please
know that I am here for you, that I truly care about you, and that
I want to see you be the best you can be.
Sincerely,
Todd B. Stiedle aka Stephanie Richards
