Dear
Everyone,
I simply cannot put into words how overwhelmed I have been at the wonderful
responses I've received since being crowned Miss Gay Arkansas America 2008.
I feel very privileged, humbled, and honored to begin the task of
being Miss Gay Arkansas and upholding the high standards
we have all come to expect from this position.
First, I would like to thank and congratulate all of the contestants who competed
with me. I know you all worked very hard and it was evident in the wonderful
talents, beautiful faces, and lovely gowns. All of you have been very gracious
and professional. I know, first-hand, how you must have been feeling. I attempted
time after time, a total of five unsuccessful attempts where another contestant
was crowned. Each time, I was left wondering if I would ever get my year as
Miss Gay Arkansas. I questioned whether it was worth it to even try. Trust
me when I tell you that it is worth it and your dream can come true. I hope
you are already planning your package for next year.
For questions and guidance, I hope that you will seek out the breadth and depth of wisdom available to you from your former Miss Gay Arkansas' that comprise Arkansas Alumni Productions. I can attest to their availability and willingness to help each contestant succeed.
I would like to thank Arkansas Alumni Productions and congratulate them on their success in continuing the great legacy of the Miss Gay Arkansas America Pageant. I know each of you put in many hours and it was evident over the weekend and in retrospect. I would also like to thank my many friends and supporters who have been there for me in both times of despair and times of great joy. You are my chosen family, and I would not trade our relationships for anything.
I would also like to thank Norman Jones for allowing Miss Gay Arkansas America 2008 to be held at Discovery. Being crowned at any other venue just would have not been the same. I also thank you for your consistent and continued requirement of excellence in the field of female impersonation and entertainment.
In closing, please know that I am available to you and hope that you will feel free to contact me with any issues, questions, clarifications, conflicts and critiques. I will do my best to insure that your concerns become my concerns and that resolutions are carefully thought out so as not to create additional problems. Unfortunately, I am not as technically savvy as many of you likely are and I simply cannot text, however, my contact information is below. Please note that I work full time and attend graduate school, so you may need to leave me a message and let me get back with you.
Sincerely,
Todd B. Stiedle aka Stephanie Richards
